Moms’ Shopping Day Out
Happy spring, Bauercrest Moms!
Okay, who am I kidding? Last night I spent an hour at the lacrosse fields in the same winter coat I have put away and taken back out four times in as many weeks, it took until this morning for me to be able to feel my toes, and I am OVER THIS WEATHER. But who wants to open a blog post that starts like that?
The reality is, despite evidence to the contrary, it’s May. And camp starts in June. Which means it wouldn’t be unheard of for those of you sending your boys away for the first time to experience a slight case of what I’m going to refer to as PACKING PANIC.
Packing panic is nothing to be ashamed of. I had it. Every time I looked at that list on the website, I had even more questions for my good friend Lori, who at the time had already been sending two of her boys to Bauercrest for years. Finally she just offered to take me out and show me everything I needed to get in one fell swoop. And just like that, within a few short hours… POOF… no more packing panic.
So I’ve been thinking… we’ve got a lot of new moms sending a lot of new campers to the Hillside this summer. Some of you have already been in touch with questions about about the packing list… and feel free to keep ‘em coming… but wouldn’t it be fun to try to tackle it together?
I’m proposing two dates… one weekday, one weekend. I know they won’t work for everyone, but I thought I’d give it a shot nonetheless.
Thursday, May 12th at 11:00am… meet at Panera next to the Target in Framingham
Saturday, May 14th at 11:00am… meet at Panera in the Marshall’s Plaza in Saugus
As I look at the list, aside from the Bauercrest logo items that need to be ordered through All Sports Wear (all-sportswear.myshopify.com), the only items you might have to buy online if you don’t already have a couple lying around the house are two giant duffel bags and a mesh shower caddy. The duffels do NOT have to be fancy. Mine are 40” rounds. The brand I got is Everest; I ordered from www.ebags.com, but they sell them on Amazon too. You can order the mesh shower caddy from All Sports Wear with the rest of your logo-wear, or from Amazon as well.
This will be fun. And then you’ll be done. Fun and done. My favorite combination.
If you can’t make it to either of these shopping excursions, and you have questions about the packing list or anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out. If you are planning to come but you have questions about the packing list or the day itself or anything else, also feel free to reach out.
I look forward to seeing you soon and getting these boys packed and ready!
